
The average pork price index in 16 provincial-level regions tracked by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs was 20.83 yuan (about 3.1 U.S. dollars) per kg in May, up 14.8% month on month.
The price index dropped 13.3% compared with the same period last year, narrowing by 23.8 percentage points from the previous month's decline.
